Basic Information

The Australian Energy Market Operator (AEMO) is responsible for operating Australia’s largest gas and electricity markets and power systems. AEMO provides critical planning, forecasting and power systems information, security advice, and services to our stakeholders. It interconnects five regional market jurisdictions – Queensland, New South Wales (including the Australian Capital Territory), Victoria, South Australia, and Tasmania. It supplies about 200 terawatt hours of electricity to businesses and households each year. Provided data contains half hour measurements of load consumption in mentioned regions of Australia.
